Google forms may not be new to you, but it is definitely new to me. If you are out of touch with the latest and greatest that the Internet has to offer, you may be asking yourself what are Google forms. Google forms can be found under Google docs.
Don’t think you are limited to just forms to create surveys. You can also choose documents which is equivalent to Word, spreadsheets which is similar to Excel and presentations which serves the same purpose as PowerPoint. Learn more from Google.
Google forms are going to help me two fold. I am the instructor at work for my fellow employees on an in-house computer application, PMT (Project Management Tool) that allows one to manage a project’s actuals, budget and earned value. I plan to use Google forms before training to allow people to pick which time best suits the trainee and to get some insight as to how much experience with the PMT they have. This will enable me to custom my training to best suit their needs. After the training, I plan to use another form to see how well I was perceived, if the training was beneficial and what people would like me to go more in-depth with in an advanced training.
I have been doing this training for more than five years and wish I knew about this before. How convenient is it to have Google forms compile the information and summarize it for you. In the past, this was always a manual process. If you have ever done a training you can relate to me when I say it is very annoying to get bombarded by hundreds of emails in preparation for a training. Now it’s all done for you.
